The Old Grammar School Project has received First Round Funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Architectural Heritage Fund to develop its ideas for the restoration of the building and bring it back to life as a community asset.
As an important part of this process, which will help with the further application required to secure the necessary funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver the project, we are consulting with the public about the future plans for the building. We would like to know the types of activities and events you would like to see in the building and the stories of the Old Grammar School you would like to be told.
DBA Consulting, who have been engaged to give activity planning and interpretation for the Project, will be in the market place in Richmond this Saturday 16th June, from 9.30am on the Market Place curtilage. They will have questionnaires, voting boards and comment cards to use to gauge what the community would like to see and happen in the Old Grammar School.
Representatives of Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust (RBPT) will also be there to answer questions about the Project.
Please come along and chat and let us know your thoughts. This is your chance to come and tell us about what you would like to see at The Old Grammar School and to help save the building for the future.
