A Building at Risk in the Dales
Working in conjunction with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, we recently invested time and money in a feasibility study for a redundant building at risk in the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst we have no current plans to take on the building we shall continue to work with the Authority when required.
New Projects
If you know of, or are involved with, a building that is in need of restoration and an injection of enthusiasm, Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust may be able to help.
The key criteria are:
- The building or land must be in Richmondshire
- It must be of historical and/or architectural and constructional interest
- Land must be of historical and/or architectural and constructional interest for example, a designed garden.
- The RBPT may also be able to assist with Education and the Arts to complement the preservation of the historical architectural and construction heritage for example research into a building and subsequent interpretation through a play, interpretation panels etc.
A point worth noting, buildings do not necessarily have to be of a great age to require saving, there are historic buildings from the 20th century that could well be of interest to the Trust.
